Accounting Governance & Reporting Manager - Quantware
Delft
What do you do?

QuantWare is building the hardware foundation for the future of quantum computing. Through its unique VIO™ technology, the company is overcoming the architectural limitations that have held quantum processors back and unlocking the path towards MegaQubit quantum systems.

Following the largest Series B funding round ever raised by a Dutch deep-tech company (€152 million), QuantWare is entering a defining phase of growth. As the company scales, Finance plays a critical role in building the transparency, discipline and insight required to support strategic decision-making and continued growth.

In this role, you become one of the key builders of the Finance organization behind one of the world’s most ambitious deep-tech companies. You strengthen accounting governance, reporting quality and internal controls to support QuantWare’s next stage of growth, while helping preserve the speed, ownership and entrepreneurial mindset that define the company today.

Your mission is to build the accounting and reporting foundation that allows QuantWare to scale with confidence. You take ownership of the accounting framework, ensuring policies, reporting standards and financial processes are clearly defined, consistently applied and aligned with IFRS. You establish the controls, responsibilities and ways of working required for reliable decision-making, while translating accounting requirements into practical solutions that fit a rapidly scaling technology company.

A key part of your role is strengthening the finance cycle and reporting foundation. You improve month-end and year-end closing processes, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and further develop the IFRS reporting framework. You support complex accounting matters, document key accounting judgments and strengthen the processes and controls required for an increasingly mature audit and reporting environment.

Beyond the recurring cycle, you help shape how Finance operates as QuantWare scales. You identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation and create a more scalable finance infrastructure. You contribute to finance transformation initiatives across ERP, reporting and consolidation, ensuring new systems, processes and controls are successfully embedded across the organization.

Good to know

What makes this opportunity particularly attractive is the stage QuantWare is at today. As the company continues to grow, Finance has an important role to play in supporting its ambitions and further strengthening the organisation. The combination of groundbreaking technology, strong investor backing and an entrepreneurial culture creates an environment where you can have a tangible impact. Working closely with leadership and across a broad scope, you will have the opportunity to help shape Finance while developing alongside a highly ambitious deep-tech company.

Who are you?

We are looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset. You have a solid foundation in financial reporting, IFRS and internal control, and enjoy translating complex requirements into practical solutions that support business growth.
You bring structure to evolving environments, take ownership and balance attention to detail with a broader perspective. You are down-to-earth, collaborative and comfortable working with highly skilled colleagues across different disciplines. You simplify complexity, ask the right questions and build trust through expertise and collaboration.

At QuantWare, you’ll be part of a highly talented team working at the forefront of quantum technology. You will join an ambitious, fast-moving environment where engineers, scientists and business professionals collaborate to solve complex challenges. We value curiosity, ownership and a low-ego mindset, with the opportunity to make a visible impact as part of a shared mission.

More about Quantware

Quantum computing has the potential to unlock solutions for some of the most complex challenges that remain beyond the capabilities of classical computing. However, scaling quantum systems remains one of the biggest technological challenges. QuantWare is tackling this challenge by developing the hardware foundation required to bring quantum computing from research environments towards industrial-scale applications.

Founded in Delft as a spin-out from QuTech and TU Delft, QuantWare develops and supplies quantum processors based on its proprietary VIO™ technology. Through its Quantum Open Architecture approach, the company enables organizations across the quantum ecosystem to build, integrate and scale quantum solutions.
Entering the next phase of scale.

QuantWare has grown rapidly from a deep-tech pioneer into a commercial supplier of quantum processors, serving customers across more than 20 countries. Following its €152 million Series B funding round, the company is entering a defining stage of growth. The investment supports the development of KiloFab, QuantWare’s dedicated manufacturing facility in Delft, designed to increase production capacity and accelerate the path towards industrial-scale quantum processors.

This phase is about more than scaling technology. It is about building the organization, processes and capabilities required to support a company operating at the forefront of a rapidly developing industry.
Building at the intersection of science and entrepreneurship.

QuantWare brings together scientists, engineers and business professionals united by a shared ambition: solving some of the hardest challenges in computing. The culture combines deep technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, where ownership, curiosity and collaboration are central.
People at QuantWare are encouraged to challenge ideas, learn from each other and contribute directly to the company’s mission. In an environment where many challenges have no predefined answers, curiosity and the ability to work across disciplines are essential.
