QuinteQ Energy is entering an exciting phase in its development. As the company scales from technology development towards further commercialization and international growth, the financial complexity grows with it: global supply chain and inventory management, project-based hardware assembly and solution implementations, long-term services and on-going R&D initiatives all come together in one business model. This is your opportunity to build the financial foundation and control framework QuinteQ needs to scale.
In the role as Finance Manager, you take a central position within QuinteQ and work directly with CFO Victor Verstappen. You take ownership of the day-to-day Finance function and combine a strong Financial Control basis with project and operational finance. Working closely with the CEO, COO, Operations and Procurement, you are involved in both the financial performance and the underlying business.
You are responsible for the daily finance operations, monthly and year-end closing and coordinate the quarterly forecasting process, while further improving reporting and visibility on cash flow, working capital and performance. The project-driven business model adds an interesting layer: you build insight into project accounting, WIP, inventory, international goods flows and margins, connecting financial information to what is happening operationally.
At the same time, there is plenty to build. You strengthen P2P and O2C processes, create more grip on projects and goods flows and help develop a Finance function that can support QuinteQ’s growth. A key step will be the transition from Twinfield to a new ERP environment, currently planned for 2027. And, as the company grows, your team and job grows. Over the coming years you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead your own Finance & Control team.
This gives you a broad position at the heart of the organization: hands-on where needed, while also improving how Finance operates and gradually taking on more responsibility as QuinteQ develops.

You are a hands-on and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and bringing structure to a growing organization. You work independently but naturally connect with different stakeholders. You communicate clearly, know when to challenge and translate financial topics into practical actions. QuinteQ Energy is a Dutch energy technology company developing innovative energy storage solutions for a more resilient and sustainable energy system. Founded in 2017, the company has its roots in aerospace technology. In 2018, QuinteQ secured a worldwide exclusive license to more than 200 Boeing patents, including the full technology transfer of its space-grade flywheel technology.
Since then, QuinteQ has developed the technology towards commercial applications. Its Flywheel Energy Storage Systems are designed for applications where large amounts of power need to be stored and released quickly, for example to manage peak loads and overcome limitations in grid capacity. The technology has already been demonstrated in environments including construction sites and the Port of Rotterdam. In 2026, QuinteQ released its first series of containerised flywheel systems, marking an important step towards broader market deployment.
Alongside its flywheel technology, QuinteQ is developing hybrid (flywheel and battery) energy storage solutions. Its technology is being applied across areas such as construction, ports, AI data centres, microgrids and energy resilience, supported by partnerships and European innovation programmes.
At the heart of QuinteQ is the ambition to contribute to the decentralisation, decarbonisation, and democratisation of energy. From Culemborg, a small and international team works closely together to turn advanced technology into scalable energy solutions.
QuinteQ is now moving from technology development and demonstration towards further commercialization and scale-up. This creates an entrepreneurial environment with short lines of communication, broad responsibilities, and room to shape how the organization develops. As the business grows, its processes, systems and Finance organization are developing alongside it.
