What do you do?

Worldstream is entering an exciting phase of growth. As a Dutch data center and IT infrastructure provider with its own data centers, advanced network technology and more than 2,500 customers worldwide, Worldstream plays an important role in the digital infrastructure of businesses across the globe. The market is growing rapidly. Data consumption continues to accelerate, companies are increasingly outsourcing their IT infrastructure, and demand for reliable and scalable solutions is rising. In addition, data and IT infrastructure sovereignty is high on the agenda for many companies. Worldstream has built a strong position in this market and is looking to accelerate its growth significantly in the coming years.

With Freshstream as a shareholder since 2024, these ambitions have gained further momentum. Worldstream is investing in organic growth, further professionalization and potential acquisitions. This creates a dynamic, data-driven environment where performance, scalability and value creation are key. This is where an ambitious and analytical Business Controller comes in – someone who looks beyond the numbers, connects finance with data and uses sharp analysis to drive better decision-making. Thanks to Worldstream’s flat organizational structure.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with Senior Business Controller Olav Bakker and CFO Ernst Wiemans. The Finance team also consists of a Financial Controller and two administrative colleagues. As Business Controller, you will work on a wide range of commercial and strategic topics. You will analyze margins, cost structures, forecasts and underlying business drivers, translating data into clear and actionable insights. You will also play an important role in CAPEX investments, such as the development and expansion of data centers. By assessing financial impact and expected returns, you will provide valuable input for key investment decisions.
What makes this role particularly interesting is the opportunity to further build and develop Business Control. Worldstream is growing rapidly, increasing the need for better insights into performance, margins and investments. You will translate data into clear management information and help develop dashboards, analyses and forecasting. This allows you to combine Finance, data and technology while directly contributing to Worldstream’s continued growth and professionalization.

At the same time, you will help further develop the Business Control framework. You will build dashboards, management and investment reporting and create greater transparency around business performance. Working with different systems and data sources, you will have the opportunity to use AI to further automate and professionalize analyses and reporting processes.

This role brings together Business Control, data and process optimization, giving you the opportunity to help build the financial infrastructure Worldstream needs for its next phase of growth.
