As Group Financial Controller you help ensure high-quality group financial control, consolidation and external reporting across the Brunel Group, while also contributing to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

As Group Financial Controller at Brunel’s Amsterdam headquarters, you join a close-knit Corporate Finance & Control team with a flat structure and highly collaborative way of working. This is an opportunity to move from audit or financial control into an international Group Finance environment, working alongside experienced finance professionals and gaining exposure to finance teams and Finance Directors across 45 countries.

You play a key role in the quality, consistency and further professionalisation of Brunel’s global financial reporting, while also taking an active role in finance transformation. You will contribute to impactful initiatives such as the implementation of a treasury management system, cash pooling, ERP upgrades, CSRD reporting and other process improvements. Alongside these projects, you further develop your expertise in consolidation, IFRS and external reporting. You combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and enjoy improving how Finance operates across the organisation. Furthermore, your key responsibilities will be:

•    Lead initiatives to improve group reporting quality, process efficiency, and data integrity across a multi-system finance environment.
•    Act as the key contact for the group external auditor, coordinating global audit planning, deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution.
•    Coordinate and prepare key elements of the group consolidation process and financial statements, including the annual report, quarterly publications, and board materials.
•    Support the daily management, maintenance, and further development of the consolidation tool, CCH Tagetik.
•    Provide expert support to local finance teams on reporting, consolidation, accounting, and process-related matters.
•    Prepare financial analyses, insights, and reporting materials for the Board of Directors and other senior stakeholders.

You are an analytical, proactive and communicative finance professional who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and making an impact in a listed international organisation. With a solid background in financial control, you combine technical expertise with a practical mindset and take pride in bringing structure and finding solutions. •    You bring demonstrable, relevant experience in a similar role and a proven track record of applying your expertise in a practical business environment. For example within a big4 environment
•    Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
•    Ability to translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable management information;
•    Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders;
•    Proactive, hands-on, results-driven and accountable mindset;
•    Fluency in English, Dutch is considered an advantage;
•    Experience with CCH Tagetik and Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered a plus;
•    Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10% of time).
