Deloitte is the leading professional services firm in the Netherlands, operating at scale across Audit & Assurance, Tax & Legal, Strategy Risk & Transactions Advisory and Technology & Transformation. In a phase where the organization is increasingly focused on data driven decision making, cost discipline, and strengthening its internal steering capabilities, Finance plays a more central and forward-looking role than ever. Within this context, the Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic adviser to the business, challenging and influencing decisions to drive value and growth. A Finance Business Partner who can translate complex data into compelling business insights and support strategic business-making.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will operate at the heart of the business and act as a strategic adviser to commercial and operational leadership. Reporting directly to Nico Rensing, Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will work closely with Business Leads and management to drive value creation, commercial performance and sustainable growth within a fast-moving and demanding environment.
You will develop a deep understanding of the business model, customer dynamics and commercial drivers to challenge decision making and support the business with forward looking insights. Rather than focusing purely on reporting, your role is centered around translating complex financial and operational data into actionable business steering and strategic recommendations.
A key part of the role is improving commercial performance and profitability. You will analyze and monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, margins, billing rates, productivity and headcount economics, while also helping the business navigate increasingly complex fixed-fee structures and pricing models. Through scenario modelling, predictive forecasting and driver based planning, you will support management in making informed commercial and operational decisions.
In addition, you will take ownership of business cases, financial analyses and KPI frameworks that help the organization better steer performance and future growth. You will work closely with FP&A throughout the budgeting and forecasting cycle and actively contribute to the further professionalization of commercial finance and value based decision making across the organization.
Stakeholder management is a critical component of the role. You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the business and operate in direct partnership with the management team. Given the pace and complexity of the environment, it is important that you are able to bring people along in change, challenge constructively and build strong relationships across teams and disciplines. The role requires someone who is commercially minded, analytically strong and comfortable operating in a dynamic organization where expectations are high and the business continues to evolve quickly.
In this role you will research the opportunity of using generative AI in order improve the efficiency and further professionalize the organization. Furthermore, you report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, but you will also work closely with the CFO of Deloitte.
Naturally you effectively communicate your complex ideas and analyses, and you have no difficulty in convincing your stakeholders with your rock-solid statements. But most importantly, be the true you. With your personal strengths, view of the world and unique personality. You are comfortable operating at senior levels within the organization and know how to hold your ground in discussions with MT and board level stakeholders. At the same time, you take ownership: you don’t wait for direction but proactively identify opportunities to improve structures, processes, and outcomes.
“At Deloitte, Finance is no longer a reporting function, it is a strategic driver of decision making and business performance. As a Finance Business Partner, you operate alongside senior stakeholders to challenge commercial decisions, improve profitability and bring structure to a fast-moving, matrix organization. From value creation and cost steering to forecasting, KPI frameworks and GenAI-driven process improvements, this role combines strategic exposure with real influence on how the business evolves.”
