Europe Financial Controller - TP Vision
Amsterdam
What do you do?

Without even realizing it, you come across TPV Technology’s products every single day. From the monitors on office desks to the TVs in living rooms and the digital signage guiding you through airports or shopping malls, TPV is everywhere.

As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PC monitors, TVs and digital signage displays, TPV Technology powers both major global brands and its own strong portfolio. Through TP Vision Philips branded TVs and audio products are developed, manufactured and brought to market worldwide. MMD exclusively markets Philips branded monitors, bringing together Philips’ brand heritage and TPV’s production expertise. And AOC continues to deliver innovative and high-quality display solutions for professionals, consumers, businesses and gamers around the world. To further strengthen the finance team at the European HQ, we are looking for a Financial Controller.

In this role, you play a key part in building a world-class financial controllership organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO Europe, you take ownership of the full controllership cycle of covers all AOC, MMD and TP Vision companies as well as its branches in Europe. You oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and maintain a strong grip on the full entity accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow). You dive into financial performance, explain variances clearly and translate key value drivers into insights that leadership relies on.

Alongside this, you are the engine behind continuous improvement. You streamline the month-end close, lead balance-sheet reviews, run spot checks across the organization and enhance controls and overall balance-sheet hygiene. You assess and document processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements using best-practice benchmarks. You further develop the monthly controllership report, monitor ongoing projects and ensure that all reporting packages (M/Q/Y) reflect the highest level of quality and consistency.

A crucial part of your remit is maintaining a strong connection with stakeholders. You build solid relationships with finance teams across Europe, external accountants, IT colleagues and HQ functions. You keep the helicopter view needed to oversee complex processes, while still being comfortable performing deep-dive analyses or posting correction entries yourself whenever required.

Good to know

Because TPV operates in a tech-driven environment, you also help safeguard the financial systems that sit at the heart of the reporting-landscape. Working with IT and system administrators, you monitor and develop general IT and application controls, ensuring the proper access rights, governance and financial-system hygiene across tools such as SAP, Eflow and Salesforce.

Who are you?

This role suits someone who has a solid financial foundation, but who above all derives energy from advancing an organization. You feel at home in an international setting where processes are complex, controls are strict, and collaboration with IT, HR, tax, compliance, and business partners is essential. You switch effortlessly between detail and the big picture and understand better than anyone how important quality, accuracy, and a strong control mindset are in an environment with significant commercial and operational impact. You bring structure, clarity, and calm; exactly what is needed to further professionalize Finance within TP Vision and prepare it for the next phase.

"At TP Vision we are looking for a pragmatic and dedicated finance professional.  In this role, you are the linking pin between accurate reporting, strong internal controls, continuous improvement and stakeholder alignment — a role where your impact is both broad and deeply felt across the European business.“

More about TP Vision

TP Vision is part of TPV Technology, a leading global manufacturer of PC monitors, televisions, and digital signage displays. The company operates as an original design manufacturer for major brands and carries its own labels. Within this group, TP Vision has a clear role: it develops, manufactures, and markets all Philips-branded TV and audio products worldwide. TPV also includes MMD, which markets Philips monitors, and AOC, which offers high-quality monitor- and display solutions for consumers, professionals, and gaming.

Culture
The European organization of TP Vision operates in an international context in which accurate financial reporting and a strong control framework are essential. Finance plays a key role in this. The working methods require professionals who are critical, analytical, and meticulous, and who can take responsibility in a changing and growing environment. Great value is placed on people who can operate independently, who show initiative, and who can collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels. A structured, methodical, and ethical approach to work is an important basis for success.

Strategy and ambition
TP Vision has the ambition to further develop the financial function within Europe into a world-class controllership organization. This means investing in improving and documenting processes, strengthening internal controls, and implementing best practices. The organization is working on tighter month-end closings, better balance sheet hygiene, and stronger reporting packages, while at the same time working on governance around IT systems and access rights.
