In this role as a Controller you will be reporting to the CFO and your core focus lies in further enhancing a robust and scalable financial foundation. This entails improving and automating core financial processes while diligently performing controls. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing periodic closings, revenue billing, supplier invoice processing, bookings, and fiscal responsibilities such as VAT returns, CBS statistical reporting, and payroll postings. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up KPIs, preparing budgets and forecasts, and collaborating with shareholders on financial insights and reporting.
Additionally, this role offers room for learning and the opportunity to bring your unique perspective to the position. You will provide valuable support to the CFO Control and work collaboratively to allocate tasks as needed, ensuring the successful accomplishment of your shared objectives. Since this is a new role, you get the opportunity to shape the role. Together with the CFO, you look for improvement, implementation of tooling and business insights. Your contributions are essential in helping vaneeghen move towards its goals.
At vaneeghen, no day is the same, and neither will yours. You will be deeply involved in high-impact projects designed to enhance business performance. These projects range from refining Power BI and Business Central to lead data and reporting initiatives that improve operational visibility. You will also be responsible for implementing CSRD framework and strategic KPI frameworks, including revenue, margin, on-time delivery, working capital ratio, and quality metrics, as well as conducting detailed analyses on complaints across regions and product categories.

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or (Business) Economics
- Around 5 years of work experience in Finance (international experience is a plus)
- Experience in financial accounting software
- Strong verbal and written skills in English
- Great Excel skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proactive, have a hands-on mentality and do not hesitate to take ownership
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools and a strong appetite to learn new applications is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
