We are looking for an ambitious and confident Head of Corporate Accounting who is eager to continue their steep learning curve.

In this position, you will report to the Manager Corporate Reporting & Accounting and will lead a team of five. You will act as a mentor to them, taking the time to invest in their knowledge and personal development.

You and your team are responsible for running a smooth accounting, closing, and reporting process for seven entities, including ERIKS NV, ERIKS Digital BV, ERIKS Global Procurement, and four other entities. The team manages most of the day-to-day accounting, and your Senior Holding Accountant will be the “first line of defence” for ad-hoc issues and/or queries. This gives you room to identify process improvements and automation opportunities in all aspects of the core finance processes, for example, within the procurement or declaration process, implementation of new tools, or streamlining the intercompany processes.

Some of the larger cost center groups, such as Procurement or Supply Chain, have dedicated Controllers. You will work closely with them, ensuring their actuals are accurate, well-explained, and meet IFRS accounting requirements. For other group functions, such as the Board, Legal, HR, Finance, IA & Compliance, you will be responsible for the cost control process yourself. You will report on and analyse the monthly performance of actuals vs. budget and discuss these variances with Group Functional Leaders on a monthly basis.

You connect with different departments both at Group level and in local organisations, all while maintaining a problem-solving attitude. You will analyse the current set-up, challenge the status quo, and be proactive in proposing and subsequently implementing improvements together with the team.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, (Business) Economics or Accountancy
  • Min. 5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller or Trust Officer (BIG4); preferably experience with(in) an international, multicultural organisation
  • Good insight in financial accounting and reporting processes combined with business sense
  • Strong affinity with IT and financial tooling; 
  • Experience in working with Exact Online and OneStream would be a plus
  • Experience with process improvement projects and/or implementation
  • Excellent communication skills in English. strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility. A clear, to-the-point communicator with a practical, no-nonsense mentality and a certain degree of stress-resilience
