XITE is a fast-growing company (€ 7,5 mln in 2020 and appr € 28 mln in 2023) with 85 FTE and based in Amsterdam. The company is now looking for a new Head of Accounting & Reporting.
Due to the continuous international growth, XITE is looking for a strong, pragmatic Head of Accounting & Reporting with the drive to contribute to the improvement and further development of the financial processes and tooling within XITE. In this position, you work closely with the CFO and the Director FP&A and will coordinate, coach and train the finance team (2 FTE, to be expanded). You are the go-to-person for internal colleagues on a broad range of financial topics, working closely with them to structure strong end-to-end processes and will be the liaison for external parties such as the accountants, tax authorities and other advisors.
As the Head of Accounting & Reporting you are responsible for the periodic financial closing and reporting for all group entities in the Netherlands, USA and Canada. You prepare the annual statutory reports, manage the audit and take care of (domestic and international) fiscal responsibilities.
Together with your team, you are responsible for the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes. This ranges from coordinating and reviewing the day to day accounting activities up to the month end close, intercompany reconciliation, (complex) accruals, cashflow management, monthly reporting and ultimately the financial statements. You do the first financial sanity check and analytical review of the P&L and balance sheet, investigate variances and underlying causes and discuss these with the Director FP&A and CFO.
Recently, XITE has implemented frameworks and controls to be ‘’audit-proof’’. A core focus in this role is optimizing the current financial processes and scalable structures. You review and optimize the existing end-to-end cycles, ensure a structured financial closing including audit documentation, monitor and improve Internal Controls in the core processes / systems and provide solid accounting advice to the Director FP&A and CFO. XITE is growing fast in various countries and on multiple platforms, with continuously new revenue streams. There is a challenging matrix structure of platforms, countries and music labels which require thorough accounting and reporting processes.
XITE is looking for a strong financial with a good technical background, strong communication and project management skills and a business minded approach. You are able to build strong relationships and can liaise with, challenge and motivate internal and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Economics or Accountancy; a post Master Qualification, RA or ACCA is a plus
- Approximately 5-7 years of experience in a financial control position in an international, high growth environment or as a Financial Auditor
- Good insight in financial accounting and reporting processes combined with business sense
- Strong affinity with IT and financial tooling (preferably Exact Online) and latest developments in (cloud based) solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Experience with process improvement projects and/or implementation is a strong plus
- Mature individual with significant personal presence and credibility
- Energetic, hands-on and change-driven
