As the Business Controller you report to the Managing Director and will be the finance business partner for the MT (MD, Sales & Innovation Manager and two Business Line Leads) and the business. You work closely with Van Ameyde group controlling, your peers within the other segments and for the accounting & (group) reporting responsibilities you will be supported by the SSC and your two direct reports In the Netherlands and Portugal.
You will be responsible for translating the strategic plan to a solid budget, forecasting and reporting cycle. Together with the MT and the business you will determine the Financial, Operational and Commercial KPI's (e.g. productivity, billable hours, monthly recurring revenue, margin per client/ product/business line, customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value) that you will steer the business on and which you will embed in the management reporting. During the close you coordinate your colleagues and the SSC, reviewing the numbers and assisting them with and/or managing complex accounting issues (IFRS) when necessary. You make sure your colleague within the SSC reports the figures to the group for consolidation purposes, while you manage the management reporting for the Van Ameyde Systems MT, including your analysis and commentary. You will have an active contribution in the MT business reviews as well as be Involved in the meeting with the board to discuss Van Ameyde Systems performance.
You will play a key role in the transition and accelerated growth strategy of Van Ameyde Systems. In the beginning you will focus on two major projects necessary to be able to go to a direct charge model. First, now that the Business Lines and services have been defined, you have to set up a strong costing (ABC) and pricing model. Furthermore, a new pay-per-use recharge model has to be developed and Implemented. Next to that you will constantly support the strategic roadmaps by (scenario and market) analysis and financial modelling for investments and (new) business cases. Which Investment should we make in the product development for embedded Insurance (non-insurers selling insurance as a complement to their products and services like IKEA and HEMA) and what is the expected Return on Investment? How can we productize and price our existing services for a new segment of clients? And how should we structure these new business Initiatives from a finance perspective?
You are a skilled and persuasive Business advisor, with an analytical mindset who loves to work in a fast-growing, international, and dynamic business. You know how to support (strategic) decision making and you are not afraid to speak your mind. In addition to having a solid financial background and strong communication skills, you have a “can do”-mentality and inquisitive attitude.
