CJ Wildbird Foods/Vivara is Europe’s market-leading company in the design, development and production of bird & wildlife food and accompanying feeding products. Over the last years , they have doubled in size and joined forces with an established private equity advisor in 2021. Subsequently, they have strengthened the management team and are actively investing in getting the internal organisational structures, processes and systems in place to support & facilitate growth to the next level. Now, they are expanding the Finance team with the new position of Manager Accounting & Reporting. In this position, you have a core focus on getting the financial, accounting and reporting structure & insights to the next level; in terms of processes, tooling and people. You report to the CFO, work closely together with the business controller and coordinate/mentor the (partially UK based) Accounting team. You have direct exposure to the management and the business and you liaise with external parties (auditor, tax authorities and advisors).
Because of the ambition to propel finance to the next level, your first focus will be on process improvement. You assess the current structures, identify and execute the improvement agenda which you set up in close collaboration with the CFO and your team.
The scope of your role and the projects are very broad; from setting up a new PO approval flow, Capex tracking process, declaration process up to set-up of a strong (group) budgeting process, including templates, timelines and business review cycles. You also coordinate the creation of insightful & standardized reports and support with cashflow modelling & ad-hoc (acquisition) projects. You train your team and the business on these new processes as well as supporting and challenging the business during the business reviews, together with the CFO. You make sure all processes are audit proof and the month-end close is efficient. You expand the (consolidated) management- and shareholder reporting and you coordinate the audit as well. SAP will just be implemented when you start (live in Q1 2023) and you will be actively involved in the further optimization of SAP and utilizing the potential SAP has in terms of automation opportunities and reporting capabilities.
Because of the transitional phase that Vivara is in, your position will be very diverse and dynamic. We expect you to take the lead getting the processes and management reporting to the next level, spot improvement opportunities and follow through. Investing in mentoring and coaching your team to get them to the next level and actively contribute to their personal and professional development. Additionally, you will support the CFO with (strategic) projects, potential acquisition projects and analysis on group level.
You are a pro-active and ambitious financial. You are inquisitive by nature, able to analyse and understand complex organization structures, business processes and systems. You can build strong relationships and can liaise with, challenge and motivate internal and external stakeholders. Drive, eagerness and adaptivity is key, since no day within Vivara will be the same.
